I’ll swap out those rear turn signals next time I have a free wrenching day.

I did a sort test ride, The bike feels way different with that much fuel on board and sounds different with the plastic tank.

Looking great! Question: what saddlebag brackets are those?

  2. Danny Diego says:

Looking great, Vik! I’m enjoying watching your progress. Now to get her out on the road for an extended ride.

On a side note, I started a KLR owner/rider site on Facebook: it’s called KLRistas Unite! https://www.facebook.com/groups/468009736697499/

I sure would like you to post some photos of your bike there.

Very nice! Completely changes the look of the bike for the better. Could you give a hint at how hard it was to mod the fairing to fit and what was involved? Looking at doing something like this for my next “winter” project here in Victoria.

  4. Vik says:

@Jeff – there was only 1 really hard part fitting the fairing. You have to cut away part of the old fairing mount to generate clearance.

You are welcome to take a look at my bike in person and we can pull the fairing off so you can see what it took to fit.

  5. Jeff says:

Thanks for the info! I might just take you up on that one day. I’ve done a fair bit with my bike, but want something different without buying a whole new bike (The Mrs would kill me lol).
